Most Indian cities are still constructing scientific waste disposal sites, but the legacy wastes, i.e. wastes accumulated over the years due to lack of treatment is the most challenging tasks that developing nations face including India. Many existing dump sites have to be closed due to NGT orders and litigations. The abandoned dumpsites have led to environmental problems such as ground and surface water pollution, air pollution, waste fires, and on-site scavenging. Cities such as Indore, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat have initiated clearing of landfills by giving our management contracts.
