The long and existing process of open dumping has caused legacy waste to grow exponentially. Efficient management of legacy waste is a need of the hour. The focus of the project was to propose a framework for legacy waste contracts that would help identify an optimum project delivery system and address the gaps in existing contract delivery and treatment processes. MCDA was carried out to identify the optimum project delivery type. Gaps in contract administration and treatment process were addressed with the help of case studies and questionnaire survey. A framework was prepared on the basis of the results obtained.
