Sands of Time: A historical tale of Kachchhi port towns

This research paper from the foundation studio is a culmination of observations and inferences from various literature reviews, documented drawings, and site visits. The scope of this project surfed over the weeks questioning the existence of Mandvi and Mundra. The Kachchhi port towns in bits and parts live today by carrying noticeable proportions of their built environment from history as a part of their innermost settlement. It includes buildings and infrastructure dating from 2 centuries. In the journey of unraveling their reason for existence, the project dives into multiple factors that shape the life of Mandvi and Mundra
