Lumière : A Light Fixture Design Studio

The space is a light fixture design studio, which designs light fixtures out of Banana Fibre paper. The studio designs these fixtures based on the concept of structure and infill with respect to the materials used for designing the fixture. Correspondingly, the space also derives the concept of “structure and infill" from the making process of the product, with wood being the primary material for the framework of all interior elements and banana fiber paper being the infill material in these elements of the space. The use of wood and banana fiber paper in the interior elements of space making, such as partitions and ceiling, governs the language and the aesthetics of the space.
