HSR Station Area Plan- balancing Ecology & Economy

High Speed rail is an eminent project for the development of the nation and its phase 1 connects Ahmedabad and Mumbai via Surat. Currently handing 50% traffic on this major route, the diamond city would experience a huge influx of population. The project aims to create a station area plan integrated with the transit line, and to make the area infrastructurally ready to cater to the population to be brought in by this mega-project. The vision for the plan is to balance Ecology and Economic development, for which the TPS model is used as an implementation mechanism.
