IDL and Whole Building Design (WBD)

The building chosen is LMCP, and the location for simulation is Bangalore, which is temperate climatic zones as per ECBC 2017.For energy performance, the base case was simulated using a design builder, where building geometry is determined by architectural drawings and envelope. HVAC and lighting details are taken from ECBC 2017, and ventilation requirements are taken from NBC 2016.The base case has an EPI of 65.95 kWh/sqm.a, and the net-conditioned EPI is 104 kWh/sqm.a.  With envelope optimization, carving mixed mode potential, HVAC optimization, and dehumidification to cater to relative humidity, the final EPI is 58.99 kWh/sqm.a.
