Whole Building Design

This project focuses on designing an energy-efficient building from a holistic perspective. During the design process, parameters such as indoor lighting, the building envelope, the inclusion of passive strategies pertinent to the climate and the HVAC system are optimized to ensure that thermal comfort is not compromised. The objective of this activity is to reduce the amount of energy used and the costs associated with both capital and operational expenditures. Energy offsets, such as renewable energy sources, are taken into account in the project.
