“More than Human” – A Habitat for Dogs

The Project “More than Human” proposed over an area of 1064 sqm is a habitat for abandoned dogs with the intention to create a safe, comfortable, healing, and adaptable environment for dogs. The idea of breathable enclosures for dogs guided the design to have as many outdoor spaces as indoors. The design thoughtfully considered the physical/emotional needs of the dogs and interacted with the site in a way that light and air could enter each space. The proposal functionally has a Boarding centre, Pet Clinic, Grooming/Spa, Pet Café, and Pet Store with lots of run areas for dogs to play around and be in their natural behaviour.
