A Pedestrian Bridge - Inspired from a Dragonfly

The movement of a dragonfly's wings and body inspired the pedestrian bridge's design. The final design was derived initially from the diagrams made in the 2D abstraction stage, which were later turned into physical models. The next step consisted of understanding and resolving the structure of the selected model. The bridge structure is based on a truss system, and the lower deck is suspended from this system with the help of tension cables. The lower deck is covered, while the upper deck is open for visitors to enjoy the mesmerizing landscape of Kadiya Dhro.
