Tensegrity Bridge at Kadiya Dhro

This pedestrian bridge consisting of a timber and steel framework is designed following the principle of tensegrity. It is located in Kadiya Dhro, near a small village in the Kutch region of Gujarat. Kadiya Dhro, also known as the Grand Canyon of India, is a popular tourist hotspot. Anatomical and movement descriptions of seahorses were carefully abstracted to give the bridge its form. Structural principles were considered to refine this form, and joineries were detailed.
