The studio looks into understanding complex structural systems or large-span structures such as sports arenas. Comprehensive case study of the volleyball arena set a strong base to further explore such large spans. Tesselation of the existing structural system was an aim towards understanding how forces worked in such spans.The aim of the project is to design and construct an aquatic arena that will serve as a competitive venue for swimming, diving, and other aquatic events. The arena should be designed to meet the requirements of international governing bodies for aquatic sports and should provide facilities for athletes, coaches, and spectators.
