This research explores the integration of traditional craft in contemporary interior design in India. Historically, hand skills were prominent but lost importance with modernism and machinery. However, contemporary design has reintroduced traditional craft elements in space making. The study examines how traditional craft elements such as materiality, functionality, and technique have been contemporized for modern applications. It also explores the potential future scope of craft utilization in India as there is a need to find new ways to incorporate traditional craft into contemporary design in a world that is becoming more technologically advanced.
