AHMEDABAD - Fire Service Management

According to the 2011 Indian census, the population of Ahmedabad was approximately 5.6 million, making it the fifth-most populous city in India. The main focus of the studio is to study the urban services the ULB offers in the city and how the city functions. The critical area of study was fire services in the city of Ahmedabad. With a rapidly growing population and infrastructure, the need for fire services in Ahmedabad is essential. The Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services (AFES) provides fire protection and emergency services in the city. The process involved studying the building fire NOC service in the city for high-rise buildings based on the information collected through interviews and surveys to understand the issues in procuring and renewing NOC. The project aim is to create a streamlined application process, to decentralize the existing system to ensure the process of procuring and renewing NOC is optimized. The study also explores what other interventions can be incorporated in highrise buildings to ensure life safety.
