KaMM-Jal System (Kaliyadeh Model Micro - Jal System)

Water security by 2035 for Ujjain is the vision formulated alongside Development Plan for Ujjain 2035. In order to achieve this, issues like water disparity and inaccessibility to municipal connections that effectively increase the cost of access to water are to be solved. Rainwater Harvesting, though mandatory in DCR, is not followed in the city. The shortcomings felt by the people of Ujjain towards the conventional RWH are explored here. Revival of an existing water heritage architecture is the solution found to water scarcity to be replicated at the community level which is adaptable for all building typologies.
