The Greening Ujjain project is a comprehensive initiative aimed at making the city more sustainable, biodiverse.Firstly, the intervention involves creating urban grooves around water tank in the city. This involves Miyawaki afforestation to create a urban groves.
Secondly, the Greening Ujjain’s roadways is creating green corridors in the city. These corridors will be created by planting trees and other vegetation along major roads and highways.
Together, the benefits of these strategies include reducing soil erosion and improving water quality, as well as providing a recreational space for citizens.
