Promoting Low Carbon Mobility for Surat - 2043

Surat has a very strong economic base, and because of this, it becomes a hub for an economic generation. With the increase in the average monthly income level, the purchasing power for vehicles has increased. From baseline assessment, we infer that with an increase in vehicle ownership and stagnant ridership of public transport will result in a deterioration of air quality and an increase in Greenhouse Gas emissions. Thus the project evaluates four scenarios of GHG emissions and proposes a robust framework for the ecosystem of Electrification in the city.
