The objective of the studio was to develop a "Strategic Transportation Plan" for the city of Surat, with a focus on various aspects of transportation such as road network, public transit, non-motorized transportation, freight vehicular movements, and proposals for the city center. The studio was divided into three phases, namely data collection, existing situation analysis, and proposal development based on issue identification. In Group 1, our focus was on proposing solutions for the road network, public transport, intermediate public transport, non-motorized transportation, congestion pricing, parking management and freight transportation. We conducted analytical research on Surat current situation and examined its economic growth and future expansion to create scenarios for both a "business as usual" situation and one with booming growth. My focus was on IPT.
