PATH stands for People Centeric Approach for Urban Transformation and housing. The project aims to promote equity and social inclusion in the urban landscape by transforming slum housing and communities around the district center. This includes interventions that boost the local economy and create spaces for communities to thrive, integrating them with the larger development plans for the district center. The project adopts a people-centric approach to urban transformation, with a focus on promoting social and economic revitalization. The 3 R design approach that is adopted for this project is conservative surgery approach to ensure minimum displacement of residents and carving out open spaces such as to improve infrastructure accessibility and to trigger further development. Overall, PATH emphasizes the importance of putting people at the center of urban development, and empowering communities to create positive change in their own neighborhoods.
