Thrift Homes : Precast Construction Technology

Thrift homes is a residential mass housing project. It began by studying the need for mass housing and various construction technologies. After conducting a survey of 25 industry professionals, the top 10 most significant factors for the selection of construction technology were determined. The project involved quantifying the number of elements required and creating a time cycle. A job layout was designed to ensure efficient construction activity, and a bar bending schedule was created to manage the use of materials. The study on reducing the ageing time of elements was carried out, and observations on site quality and safety were made. The difficulties encountered during the monsoon season's excavations were analyzed.
