Diaphragm Discontinuity

The project consists analysis and design of structural system for a given plan with rigid as well flexible diaphragm. Iterations for structural system were initially developed and a structural system was finalized according to the displacements and drift being under permissible limits as mentioned in IS 1893 (Part 1): 2016. The final structural system was further analyzed by assigning rigid and flexible diaphragms and the results were compared. Structural elements were then designed using the results from ETBAS analysis and were compared with the ETABS design results. The detailing was provided for all the structural elements.
