Flat Slab with Peripheral Beams

The project consists analysis and design of flat slab with peripheral beam system. Iterations for structural system without drop and peripheral beams were developed initially. The drops were added considering the results for punching shear. Further, various sizes of peripheral beams were modelled for the structural system and checked for displacement and peripheral beam size was finalized accordingly. A structural system for dynamic unscaled earthquake forces was finalized and analyzed. The design and detailing of structural elements for the final dynamic unscaled structural system were provided.
