The Sanctuary | An Artist Residency in Polo Forest

To create a sanctuary for artistic exploration and expression amidst the serene and mystical Polo Forest, with the majestic Idar Hill as a backdrop. This artist residency celebrates the interplay of architecture and nature, emphasizing an immersive atmosphere that fosters creativity while respecting the site's cultural and environmental significance. Located in the heart of the Polo Forest, Gujarat, the residency is surrounded by a rich landscape of dense foliage, the flowing river below, and the historical Shri Sharneshwar Temple nearby. The site's proximity to the Idar Hills enhances its mystical allure, offering breathtaking views and a tranquil environment for artists to draw inspiration. It is designed to harness and channel the south winds into the buildings, through the wind towers, these structures help significantly reduce indoor temperatures during the summer. The airflow is further cooled as it passes through an underground system that leverages the earth's stable temperature, ensuring a consistently comfortable interior environment throughout the year.
