The “Moksh” project seeks to transform perceptions of cremation grounds, moving beyond their traditional purpose. It aims to create a space that honors rituals while also encouraging awareness about the significance of organ donation. By breaking down the conventional boundaries associated with cremation grounds, Moksh aspires to offer a dignified, respectful, and educational environment that reshapes how society views these spaces, turning them into places of peace, remembrance, and positive social impact. The design approach remains subtle and intentionally avoids drastic alterations, ensuring the preservation of the site’s natural essence. Minimal interventions, such as the addition of a water body, walls, and arches, are strategically incorporated. These elements serve to gently demarcate and separate the two main functional areas: the administration zone and the public space.
