Motion in a Monolith

High above where the whispering winds hold mysteries that go unheard, live the sentinels of the skies, the Akashveer Garuds. serving as the protectors of an entire community. Rooted in the lore of Samsaar, the soaring landscapes of the Vaidurya columns, rising columnar mountains central to the topography, allowing both accessibility and a watch, is what these Garuds call home. Carved from the rock they consider sacred, the mountain, emulating a talon upholds a monolith magnus, the dwelling of the fighters. With wings that flap not only for flight but also for defense, the residence of the community poses a duality-where a sense of motion meets a sense of pause. The dwelling bases itself about a central axis, with large volumes catering to the dynamisms of their daily orders. Stretching on either ends about these humdrums, emulating their avian postures comes a sense of stillness that home brings about. Resting on the rocky outsprings carved for a comfortable perch, where the community lives together nestled amidst a network of apertures. These, as majestic as their wingspans allow the fighters to overlook and guard the vast canvas beyond.
