Speculative Archi-scapes. Tailoring Built Environments in Imagined Worlds

The unit enables one to conceive and actualize immersive architectural interventions relevant to the given narrative of Samsaar’s species. The primary focus revolves around crafting architectural spaces aligned with Maya''s narrative intricacies, from envisaging urban markets to Rakshasi and Manushya residences, while exploring virtual and semi-virtual mediums. One will articulate spaces with clarity of scale, contextual influences, construction material, resources, and anticipating design challenges as catalysts for creativity. This Multidisciplinary collaboration will engage into decoding the narrative of world and environment of Maya, later generating and stitching individual interpretation of the built through vivid and self-explanatory 3dimensional illustrations.
While maintaining coherence, we will treat architecture as a dynamic art form, an act of imagination unbound by preconceived notions of what buildings can or cannot be. The speculated designs created by students will transcend from being mere narrative backdrops and will become integral story elements that contribute to a unique, immersive experience. One shall develop critical thinking, radical imagination and representation skills to explicitly communicate the conceived Architectural spaces. One evolves architectural guidelines tailored to specified species, region, and a myriad of contextual factors like geology, climate, technology and socio-economics.
