Vocalizing Forms

The exploration of shape and structure centered on active observation and engagement, emphasizing the development of a refined ability to interpret visual information. By considering the form as an integrated whole, the creative process leaned on intuitive visual judgments, informed by an awareness of shared understanding. Several aspects proved essential in shaping this approach, including interpretation, contrast, texture, dimensional relationships, subconscious associations, natural tendencies, and interaction. The aim was to design meaningful forms that resonate with an innate sense of attraction.

Paper forms are a way to study light and shadow to its extremes. The realization of the infinite amount of possibilities of paper forms with one singular fold were explored here.

"Material is the form". you should never fight the material because you will always lose. The form of material should give way to abstractions of star fruit itself. The jewellery is a form which depends on the material captures the essence of starfruit.

'Slow' was supposed to be expressed in a cuboid by only manipulating its edges (either fillet or chamfer) without loosing its cuboidal properties. i tried to show motion in the form to depict slow as slow is a type of motion which is not fast.

A Cone and a Tetrahedron were supposed to be joined together with a transition which should look visually appealing.

The main objective of this exercise was to give into human instincts to guide movement. A combination of movements- 'Push and Rotate' were to be communicated by just the form.

1/2 The brief involved finding a form for a 'Herbal tea machine'. It must capture the essence of the drink itself while still holding the qualities of a machine in it. Process begin with gathering visuals and finding an expression for what herbal tea truly means.
