Rehabilitation of Structural Elements

The studio typically focuses on the practical and theoretical aspects of repairing, reinforcing, and upgrading existing structures to ensure their safety, durability, and functionality. Such a studio is often part of an academic or professional program in civil engineering, architecture, or construction management. The studio helps students in identifying different type of structural failures and the process to rectify such failures to increase its life span. The course equipped us with non-destructive and minor destructive tests in lab followed by casting and testing of concrete elements. This modules were necessary for the final output which was designing and identifying failures in structural elements such as beams and columns and different methods of strengthening them.
