Structural Rehabilitation

The construction sector, contributing 12% to India’s GDP, is steadily growing. Sustainable development necessitates preserving existing structures, making repair and rehabilitation crucial, as seen in Europe, where it accounts for 26% of the sector. This studio offers a comprehensive program on structural failure, repair, and rehabilitation, blending theoretical and practical knowledge. It focuses on sustainable techniques for strengthening steel and reinforced concrete structures, failure evaluation, and repair strategies to meet modern standards and usage changes. Students gain hands-on experience with non-destructive and minor-destructive testing in labs and real-life scenarios, enhancing their understanding of material behavior, damage diagnosis, and structural strengthening, equipping them to deliver effective solutions.
