Neer-Taal(Water-Symphonic) Wellness & Mindfulness Centre

In Mandu during monsoon, gushing down water transforms the dry and brown terrain into lush and green patches with a touch of water. How water helps in wellness and mindfulness of an individual is depicted through this project. Here, lake is the datum, along which the structure is sited following the slope towards the cliff. Transition of programme is depicted through transition in sound of water in the space along with change in volume. Sound of Water is the navigating tool through the space which helps in elevating the mood and reducing stress. Attempting frugal use of materials in terms of light and ventilation; light is brought through the wall, roof or cavity within the volume rather than any other artificial means. There is variety in terms of degree of connection and proximity with the water, at different levels, volumes and speeds. Extended roof of the top level acts as a plinth merging with the ground level, which has contrasting maze of channels transporting water in & out of the lake which is the entrance for wellness centre & it sets the ambience of what is under the roof. So, Mandu itself gives the clue of rejuvenation using water and sound of water to heal and harmonize.
