Fear, intimidation, suspense, trauma... these are the most commonly used adjectives about Sir Alfred Hitchcock and his works. However, a remarkable fact is that Hitchcock as an individual, was very much opposite in character to the kind of image that he maintained on screen. Sensitive, timid and emotional - these words appropriately describe the lesser known side of him. He often showed his personal fears through his films. This memorial honours him not only as a stalwart filmmaker, but also as a personality by taking a stand of contrast between the two faces of his character.
