A family of three had come back from Japan to their hometown-Udaipur and wanted to build a house on their ancestral land at the lake edge. The mother had a hobby of making pickles and it had become quite famous in the neighbourhood. Ten years later, they required an extension of the house which could help Usha extend her business of pickle making. The extension of the house includes a large pickle making space with a courtyard, a shop where Usha could sell her pickles and a cafe. The courtyard becomes the heart of the house.
