KODAMA - The Spirit Of The Trees

Kodama is envisioned as a serene haven nestled within the forests of Kumbakonam in Southern India, offering a sanctuary for individuals seeking inner peace and spiritual growth. Inspired by the principle of erosion in architecture, the design seeks to harmonize with the natural landscape while embodying sustainability and cultural authenticity. It draws inspiration from the erosional processes shaping the rugged terrain, where time and nature collaborate to sculpt breathtaking landscapes. Embracing this principle, the architecture of the retreat will reflect the organic forms, textures, and rhythms of erosion, fostering a deep sense of connection with the surrounding environment.
