Akar : A system of surfaces and joineries

This studio explores the integration of digital tools and techniques within the design and fabrication process.
Here 3D printing has been used to achieve precise geometries and rapid prototyping to develop a system which is capable of achieving doubly curved surfaces with accurate geometries.
The system is the main outcome, following a product developed to demonstrate the use of the system.
