Management of Municipal Services - Effectiveness of Complaint Redressal Mechanisms for Urban Poor. The research methodology for the study was as follows - we identified problems related to service delivery, and citizen participation. The communication links between the citizens, and the service providers was evaluated, and the success rate of complaint redressal mechanisms was studied. The sites chosen for the study were three slums in Ahmedabad - Saraspur, Navrangpura, and Behrampura. The major problem identified in service delivery was of drainage and water supply. The complaint redressal mechanism was studied in Ward offices.
