Directed Research Project (DRP) stands for research project that is directed by an instructor / guide that student undertakes typically in the final semester of a Postgraduate(PG) program at CEPT. These projects are a part of a larger ongoing or proposed research project of the guide who is either a full-time, adjunct or a visiting faculty member at the University.
The purpose of the DRP is to synergise the student research projects with the long-term research interest of the faculty members. DRPs allow an instructor / guide to define a student research project which is aligned with their long term research interest, and define a research methodology for the same.
DRPs are of two types: regular DRP and funded DRP; both known by the common acronym DRP. DRPs may be funded, externally or internally depending on a number of factors.
