The study of Urban Local Bodies of Indian Cities is a directed project which aims to find out, how the Indian cities run. This project is a continuation of previous studies on other cities in India. Cuttack, Kolkata and Ahmedabad are the three cities in which this study has been conducted. understanding the Urban Local Bodies of each city, a framework with questions has been identified with six parameters including organizational, financial management, transparency, citizen participation, service delivery, and technology. This framework helped assess the current condition of the cities with the 74th Amendment Act.
