Ahmedabad: Medicine Supply Chain Management

Given the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a significant emphasis on public health in cities. The SOM studio 2023 focused on evaluating and improving the efficiency and quality of services provided at Primary Health Centers (PHCs) and Community Health Centers (CHCs) in Ahmedabad. An extensive analysis of the service framework, encompassing the internal environment, external environment, and interface, was conducted through comprehensive surveys and the application of process analysis tools. Recognizing the significance of managing the medicine supply chain, particularly since approximately 7.1% of Ahmedabad's Health Grants budget is allocated to it, is crucial. The proposed strategy centers around three key areas: Visibility, Robustness, and Agility
