Ahmedabad, Gujarat's largest city and the seventh-largest in India, has seen its population soar to approximately 7.3 million, up from 5.58 million in 2011, fueling rapid urban sprawl. The city's urban area expanded by an 132% between 2007 and 2017, growing at a rate of 6 square kilometers per decade. The proposal is about potential of Carbon Credits as a strategic tool for Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to enhance revenue streams and align with global imperatives on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
