Curbing Shared Auto Issues : Ahmedabad's Transit Upgrade

This portfolio aims to define the role of intermediate public transport in Ahmedabad. Auto rickshaws are contract carriage vehicles which has the role of carrying the passenger or passengers for hire or reward, from one point to another. But due to higher rewards from passengers, few autos ply as a stage carriage vehicle known as shared autos. The shared auto rickshaws in Ahmedabad compete with public transport buses and metro corridors by operating on the same route. Hence, it is necessary to restrict the shared auto routes as they perform illegal operations.
