Reimagining Public Transit for Nehrunagar-Shivranjani

The identified individual project area is located as per the figure above on overall Local Area Plan (LAP). The overall area for the selected project boundary is 23.2 hectares or 57.4 acres. The main feature of the site is the pass through of the 60m Right of Way (R.O.W.). At first glance the site has the ability to possess high end commercial segment which runs parallel to 60m R.O.W., and correspondingly mixed-use and high end residential zones can also be identified which compliments the commercial market. Another impression which can be drawn is that the region faces fast moving thorough traffic which begs the question of the area being pedestrian friendly ot not. As, proposing commercial zones blended with mixed-use and high residential requires the area to have pedestrian friendly interventions. Thus, overall the site will be analysed and evaluated based on these parameters and establish its feasibility and propose possible interventions if required which enhances and boosts the vision of the whole area and give out strategies and transformational objectives which will be achieved from those strategies. Based on those strategies and objectives certain character would evolve from the individually identified project area, which can truly determine the potential and capacity the area exihibits with well designed and thoughtful pilot projects which all comes together and reinforces the overall vision for the area.
