Streets for Kids

School children face significant challenges in their daily commute to and from school, primarily stemming from unsafe pedestrian and cycling infrastructure. These deficiencies are exacerbated by insufficient traffic enforcement in school zones, exposing children to various hazards such as reckless driving and poorly marked pedestrian crossings.  The project aims to address the challenges faced by school children and caregivers in navigating urban streets, with a central objective of cultivating a safer and more pedestrian-friendly neighborhood, especially for school children. Through strategic interventions aimed at enhancing connectivity, prioritizing safety, and enhancing the quality of public spaces, the project aspires to uplift the broader community, fostering a dynamic and cohesive urban environment in Kothrud TOD zone.
