As a part of project design and detailing of cubical water tank(6m*6m*6m) resting on vertical shaft height of 10m has been done according to limit state method.First, load transfer path has been decided through which structural system of the water tank has been finalized.The structural components in the system are:Wall of the cubical tank,middle beam,inclined slab,end beam,bottom slab,vertical shaft.0.2mm allowable crack width has been kept for the water tank.Middle beam has been checked for axial tension while the end beam has been checked for axial compression.
