Arc of Poise: Suspension in Stillness

This bridge arises from the delicate tension between balance and movement- a frozen moment of dynamic equilibrium. Located near Kada Dam in Jambughoda, Gujarat, its form is inspired by the strength of a gymnast, embodying control, tension, and grace. Rooted in tensegrity, the bridge appears to float, with tensile cables countering the thrust of arching compression members. At its core lies a tripod tensegrity module- a self-stabilizing system of cables and struts. As users traverse its length, they experience architectural stillness amid structural tension- a graceful arc framing the landscape with poise and suspension.
