Inspired by the Dionaea muscipula (Venus Flytrap), this biomimetic bridge design explores the anatomical and kinetic features of the plant, translating them into architectural expression and function. The characteristic lobed structure and interlocking cilia of the trap inform the bridge’s modular, segmented form, evoking a sense of both enclosure and openness. This fusion of form and function results in a structure that is not only visually striking, but also interactive and adaptable.
