Set within the public precinct of Kamati Baug in Vadodara, adjacent to the existing planetarium, this crèche explores the spatial interplay between built form, ground, and child-centric program. The design is anchored in the concept of centrality, articulated through a series of modular cuboids dynamically pulled apart to create interactive voids. A symbolic wall rupture informs spatial fragmentation and contour manipulation, generating a sunken environment that integrates seamlessly with the landscape. Responding to the planetarium’s formal geometry and educational purpose, the crèche fosters curiosity, exploration, and sensory learning through its open-ended spatial organisation and multi-level experiential layout.
