Tesselated Trails

This project envisions an egg incubation zone for the Naag—a proud, amphibious humanoid species where identity is earned through personal trial. Shared by multiple vamsas, the cavernous, crystal-lit nursery becomes a sacred crucible where hatchlings navigate a labyrinth of channels, drops, and hidden currents to reach the ritual site, emerging from the depths to symbolically join Naag society. The ritual site, where meandering bridges converge, also serves as a communal nexus for adult Naags. Architecturally, the design embraces the cave’s raw beauty, adorned with a tessellated and articulated lattice that filters light, guides movement, and maintains a desired nurturing condition.
