The Dance Mandap emerges as a fluid gesture within its natural context, blurring the boundary between built form and landscape. Designed to engage in quiet dialogue with the surrounding trees, the structure enables nature to coexist. It draws a continuum from the Darpana building, both in program and in the interstitial “in-between” spaces that act as intimate sanctums, inviting pause, reflection, and movement. The vaults, pragmatic in nature, gently guide the body and eye, creating a spatial rhythm that responds to the choreography of dance and movement.
