In 2024, digital technologies are deeply integrated into daily life. This module trains design students to create innovative, interactive experiences in the Phygital medium (physical + digital). Students will explore convergence of physical and digital materials, understanding meaning-making and critical thinking in technology-oriented design. Through interaction design history, principles, and prototyping, students will grasp cultural and technological contexts that is shaping our Phygital environment. Hands-on training in creative coding, physical computing, and open-source tech will empower students to combine digital and traditional materials (wood, fabric, paper, metal). Outcomes wil be interactive, handcrafted artifacts driven by critical design thinking.
