Clay in Stages - Introduction to Ceramics

This project explores the basic techniques of working with clay in a ceramics studio setting. Through hands-on exploration with hand-building methods such as slab construction, coiling, and pinching, the project focuses on understanding the material, developing technical skills, and expressing ideas through form. Through these 16 weeks, learning the material, developing forms, and getting used to hand-building have been shown in this project.Initially, the first few weeks were on pinching and coiling, and then it went to slabs and texture, after which we played with underglazes and slips, and glazes. End exercise includes pani puri tableware and sculptural ware.
