Surface finishing techniques (bisque ware) | Plaster work | basic mould making | Introduction to kiln firing |
Introduction to glazing
The studio offers an introduction to hand-making with ceramics, guiding students through the entire
process of creating a clay product. This includes building, surface treatment, bisque firing, and glaze
firing. Students will learn essential techniques that will prepare them for further independent study in
ceramics and for creating work in studio settings. Additionally, the studio will help students understand
the lengthy production times associated with ceramics and the overlapping, multi-project workflow that
this medium often requires.
